Application of the thermacare® heatwraps for the back

Step 1

Open the airtight packaging directly before use and remove the ThermaCare® HeatWrap. Upon contact with oxygen, the heating of the heat cells
begins.
Step 2

Unfold the heat wrap completely. The wrap is flexibly adjustable thanks to the large Velcro area and the stretch strap. The ThermaCare®
HeatWraps for the back adapts perfectly to any waist size.
Step 3

Uncover your upper body and fold the wrap over from the back. Make sure that the dark side of the heat cells is on the skin so that you can close the Velcro fastener well at the front.
Step 4

Close the practical Velcro fastener on the front of your body. Now you can readjust the envelope a little and pull it down so that it exactly fits on the
painful area.

Tip: If you are still not comfortable with the heat wrap, the HeatWrap for larger areas offers a flexible and convenient alternative.

After about 30 minutes, the therapeutic temperature of approx. 40 °C is reached and kept constant for the rest of the indicated treatment time. For effective pain relief, please wear the heat wrap continuously - up to eight hours in a 24-hour period. ThermaCare® HeatWraps for the back provides long lasting relief for up to 16 hs. That’s up to 8 hours while you wear it, plus up to an additional 8 hours of relief after you take it off.

The heat wraps are suitable for use with chronic and occasional pain. However, ThermaCare® HeatWraps should not be used on diseased, injured or damaged skin, acute inflammation, on bruises and swellings or on parts of the body without any sensation of warmth.

Instructions for use
Open the packaging and remove the ThermaCare® HeatWrap directly before use.

Place it with the darker, softer side on the affected part of the back and close the Velcro.

The heating phase lasts approx. 30 minutes, after which the treatment temperature of approx. 40 °C is reached and is kept constant for up to 8 hours.
- Never heat the heat wraps in the microwave, oven or in any other way - risk of fire!
- If you are up to 55 years of age, you can wear ThermaCare® heat wrapsat night. Alternatively, we recommend wearing a thin garment under the heat wrap if you do not yet know how your body will react to the heat.
- Clinical data have shown that after using ThermaCare® Back Wraps for the lower back at night, users wake up with noticeably less pain and much more flexibility. The risk of burns increases with age, which is why ThermaCare® should be worn over thin clothing for those over the age of 55 and not while sleeping.
- Medical advice should be sought first before using ThermaCare® HeatWraps for the back during pregnancy.
- If you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease or rheumatoid arthritis and want to use ThermaCare® HeatWraps, please seek medical advice beforehand.
- Please do not moisten or wash the ThermaCare® HeatWrap, this will make the heat cells ineffective - normal body perspiration does not affect their functionality. Profuse sweating, for example during sports, can loosen the adhesive on the heat wrap.
